About iStudentSupport

Study-abroad decisions should start with the student, not the university.

Studying abroad can affect years of your life and require a major financial commitment from your family.

Yet many students begin the process by asking which university they can get into, or which country is currently popular.

At iStudentSupport, we believe the process should begin somewhere else: with the student.

Your academic background, preferred field of study, budget, financial profile, English proficiency, career goals, destination preferences and long-term plans all matter.

Only after understanding these factors should you decide where to study, what to study and which university fits you.

Going abroad is not the goal. Choosing the right pathway is.

A Different Approach to Study Abroad Advice

iStudentSupport is a founder-led educational consultancy that helps Bangladeshi students, graduates and professionals make better-informed decisions about international education.

We do not believe every student should be directed toward the same popular destination or whichever university happens to be recruiting at the time.

A country that is suitable for one student may be completely unsuitable for another.

A lower tuition fee does not necessarily mean a lower total cost.

An admission offer does not automatically mean the student’s visa profile is strong.

And a degree that looks attractive today may not necessarily support the student’s longer-term career objectives.

That is why our approach is based on profile first, pathway second.

Understand the Student

We first consider your academic qualifications, study interests, English proficiency, budget, source of funds, career objectives, study gap or work experience where relevant, and other circumstances that may affect your options.

Evaluate Suitable Destinations

We then look at which countries may realistically fit your academic profile, finances, language preferences and long-term objectives.

A student who wants an English-speaking destination may have a very different shortlist from someone willing to learn another language.

Likewise, a student who wants to build an international career after graduation may need to evaluate destinations differently from someone planning to return to Bangladesh.

Identify Suitable Study Programmes

Once the destination makes sense, the study programme should also make sense within that country.

For students interested in working abroad after graduation, we may also consider how the qualification relates to labour-market demand and potential post-study pathways.

However, immigration and employment policies can change. No degree, country or university should ever be treated as a guarantee of a job or permanent residence.

Shortlist the Right Universities

Only then do we compare universities according to factors such as tuition fees, scholarships, accreditation, academic quality, location, entry requirements and overall affordability.

The objective is not to find a university that will simply issue an offer letter.

The objective is to find a university that fits the student’s overall pathway.

Our Mission & Vision

Our mission and vision reflect the same principle that guides our counselling: international education decisions should be based on the student’s circumstances and long-term objectives, not simply on where admission is available.

Our Mission

To help students identify international education pathways that fit their academic background, financial circumstances, career goals and personal objectives.

We do this through profile-based assessment, destination and programme guidance, realistic financial planning, university selection and application support, while explaining both the opportunities and limitations of each pathway.

Our Vision

A future where students use international education to build meaningful careers, access greater opportunities and achieve their professional and personal aspirations, whether at home or abroad.

We want students to graduate with qualifications and skills that help them compete for good career opportunities, build successful professional lives and, where their goals and circumstances allow, pursue longer-term opportunities in the countries where they choose to study and work.

Why I Created iStudentSupport

Hi, I’m Ashique M. Abdullah.

I am the Founder and Chief Educational Consultant of iStudentSupport.

My own international education journey took me to Malaysia, where I studied for a British degree awarded by the University of Greenwich. I later worked and built businesses in Malaysia before returning to Bangladesh.

That experience taught me that studying abroad is about much more than obtaining admission.

It affects finances, career direction, family expectations, lifestyle and, for many students, their plans for life after graduation.

Over time, I also saw a problem in the study-abroad market.

The conversation often starts with questions such as:

“Which country do you want to go to?”

or:

“Which university do you want to apply to?”

I believe the more useful question is:

“What kind of education and career pathway actually makes sense for this student?”

That question became one of the foundations of iStudentSupport.

My role is not to make every destination sound attractive or to convince every student to apply immediately.

Sometimes good advice means recommending a different country.

Sometimes it means choosing a more affordable university.

Sometimes it means reconsidering the study programme.

And sometimes it means advising a student to improve their English, strengthen their financial documentation or wait before applying.

That may not always produce the fastest application, but it is the kind of guidance I believe students and families deserve.

What We Believe

Good study-abroad advice should help students make better decisions before major commitments are made. A university application should be the result of that decision-making process, not the point where it begins.

1. Advice Before Application

Students should understand their destination, programme, finances and overall pathway before proceeding with a university application.

2. Profile-Based Recommendations

Two students interested in the same country may have very different academic backgrounds, budgets, financial evidence and career objectives. Their recommendations should not automatically be the same.

3. Real Financial Planning

Tuition is only part of the cost of studying abroad. Students and families should consider the broader financial picture and whether the study plan can realistically be sustained.

4. Career Planning Matters

Where appropriate, we look beyond admission and consider how the chosen programme may relate to the student’s future career direction.

5. Transparency About Opportunities & Risks

Admission, scholarships, visas, employment and post-study migration outcomes are never guaranteed. Students should understand both the possibilities and the risks before making major financial commitments.

6. Education Before Selling

We share a significant amount of general study-abroad information freely through our website, videos and other content so students can understand their options before seeking personalized advice.

What We Don’t Believe In

We do not believe that studying abroad is automatically the right decision for everyone.

We do not believe that the most popular country is necessarily the best country.

We do not believe that the cheapest university is always the most affordable option in the long term.

We do not believe that receiving an offer letter means the planning is complete.

And we do not believe in promising visas, jobs or permanent residence simply to make an application sound more attractive.

Our objective is to help students make better-informed decisions before expensive commitments are made.

How iStudentSupport Can Help

You may be at the very beginning of your study-abroad journey, or you may already know exactly what you want to study.

If you are still exploring, our website and educational content can help you understand destinations, programmes, university options, costs and important planning considerations.

If you are unsure which countries or study pathways may suit your profile, we can help assess your circumstances and narrow the possibilities.

If your case requires deeper individual research or strategy, you can arrange a personalized consultation.

And once an appropriate pathway has been identified, iStudentSupport can assist eligible students with university applications through our partner and authorized institution network.

You Don’t Need to Have Everything Figured Out

You may already know exactly what you want:

“I want to study Cybersecurity in Australia.”

Or you may only know:

“I want to study abroad, but I don’t know which country or programme is right for me.”

Both are valid starting points.

The purpose of the assessment is to understand where you are now and identify which options are genuinely worth exploring.

Start with your profile.

Tell us about your education, study interests, budget and future plans. We’ll help you understand the next options worth considering.
